On 8th May 2025, INTERSOM team in Jowhar hosted a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Interior of Somalia, led by the Director of Local Government, Mr. Yaxye Omar Hirsi, and accompanied by Director General Nor Jaako of Ministry of Interior and Local Government of Hirshabelle
The meeting centered on civic education project aimed at empowering local communities to actively engage in good governance, local development, and peacebuilding. Discussions emphasized the importance of inclusive citizen participation to foster sustainable progress and strengthen democratic processes at the grassroots level.
